This amazing picture of Lider was drawn by my good pal, Vinnie D! Also having Lider imitate Kamina from Gurren Lagann is very funny to me, since Gurren Lagann was one of the four biggest influences in me creating this comic.
Alrighty, everyone! This ends Chapter 1 of Da Pukas. I hope you’ve enjoyed the comic so far.
However since I’ve been feeling dangerously close to burn out with all the projects I’ve been working on, I’m going to take a month long break from this comic. I hope you guys don’t mind.
But after this little break, we’ll pick up right where we left off, and get more details to poor Portazo’s fate.
See you in a month, guys, and thanks for reading.
An awesomely cute Apocado drawn by Cover.
Sorry for the late update… there’s been a lot going on in my life this weekend… and forgetting to update this page was a side effect.
Here’s an explanation of my weekend, so delicately copy and pasted from my tumblr.
“Well, Friday I spent in jail. Got a call on my cell while I was at a red light. Picked up my cell to check and see who it was and then I put it down. Then the light turned green and drive along only to see that a cop was behind me and turned on their lights.
Got pulled over and the cop claimed I was texting and driving, which was completely untrue. Granted that didn’t matter, be cause I had a couple unpaid traffic tickets that went into warrant status (I was unaware of this at the time), and the cop decided to take me to jail for it.
It’s worth mentioning that because of my sleep schedule, I hadn’t slept yet.
So I get taken into jail, they took my glasses from me, and I spent 12 hours moving from holding cell to cell before eventually being put in an actual cell area. Unfortunately even when put in an actual cell, they had the rooms with beds locked up for whatever reason.
So I spent these twelve hours blind and exhausted.
During this time, my wife found out what happened, and used my paycheck to bail me out of jail.
Ended up spending like 28 hours awake before finally sleeping. Yay!
Fast forward to today.
My daughter AJ is in the hospital, for whatever reason (probably stress), her sugars skyrocketed and she went into diabetic acidosis.
So I’m typing this before driving up to the hospital to meet up with my wife and daughter.
So, my paycheck was spent getting me out of jail, and now my daughter is in the hospital which means I’ll also have medical bills to pay. This doesn’t even include the other bills I have to pay this week and have no money for.
I’m mostly posting this because I told people in my stream yesterday, that I’d do a commission stream to try and raise money to pay said bills, but it looks like that’s being postponed to a later time because I’m going to be at the hospital probably all night/day… and I’ve only managed to get 2 or 3 hours of sleep today.
Depending on the situation, I’ll try and do a commission stream tomorrow.
Also if you want to send donations, my paypal is pembrokewkorgi@gmail.com. BUT don’t feel like you have to. Only do it if you want to.
I’m to tired and stressed to deal with people griping me out for asking for help in my ask box, so PLEASE only do it if you want to. Don’t feel like you have to.
Thanks for everything.
Pembroke W. Korgi”
My family and I got home yesterday and my daughter is well… but to say I was tired and my brain was fried would be a bit of an understatement.
So, sorry I’m late, but better late than never, right?
A cute Malo by Pippy! There’s a bit of a story to this pic. I actually commissioned it from Pippy back when I was 100% sure on Malo’s design. This picture as a huge inspiration on Malo’s final design. I wouldn’t have been able to decide on a final design for Malo without you, Pippy. Thanks so much.
And for thos that are curious, this is how I had Malo designed before I commissioned Pippy.
And this is how she is now, thanks to Pippy.
Sure, it may not seem like a giant change to some, but to me, it gave her just what she needed.
Here’s a Lider from my good friend, the talented ALOS.
